 When I decided to buy my 2015 PCX the only model available in my area in Queensland was the Dark Red Metallic, which is what I bought thinking it was the "Ducks Guts" :? :?

Now I've seen the Pearl White which looks the "Ducks Guts Plus" :D  8) o_O

My wife won't let me have both, and I love the red too much to part with it.

Can anyone help?

I hear the panels are surprisingly inexpensive, but that might have been someone in Thailand talking. No one has ever ask such a question... this will open up an interesting discussion.

Can you swap out a PCX's color by systematically exchanging plastic? Sounds absolutely doable at a glance!

ummm ...are duck guts a delicacy in Australia?

Get some white panels and do one side red and the other side white.
Like the BAR Hondas of old.

People have swapped the entire set - someone on this forum did it a few months back - red to black I think. I thought the panel set was about $300 for the '15 models (+ shipping from Thailand)?

WOW... now that's more fun than a paint job on an old Chevy! I wonder, do you have to notify the DMV and get a new registration

I Don't Blame You, me likes too
Here in the States we have paint parties. Buy Beer and invite us over
Panels are cheap in U.S., we can mix and match the two (Wow-wee) colors. It would be unique & Wife might like your artistic ways ;) (or.......she may beg you to buy the "solid" White!)
There Ya go! ;)

OEM panels are ridiculously cheap. Would not be the price of swapping the panels that I would worry about though, rather the trouble to do it! =P

Go for the panel swap if it's that cheap. That way you can swap back to red when you feel like it. I wanted to do a panel swap to white on my blue SYM Citycom 300 but it would have cost $1100.
That changed my mind, if it would have been $300-500 I would have went for it.

My wife says "go for it". Unfortunately she means the divorce, not the scoot, and I can't afford both. :( :(

(Truly joking, my wife has just come through 6 months treatment for Hodgkins Lymphoma and she has beaten it. A truly special lady. She must be, we've been married for 51 years, and she let me have a scooter). ;) :)

Unfortunately they don't even have the panels available in Oz yet.

I though the front box latch was broken and the dealers couldn't get one. The dealer had quoted me $35.00 for the box assembly, so I guess all the panels would run to in excess of $1,000.00.

It took my son to point out to me that the latch was sitting in the bottom of the box, after I'd ridden around for 3 weeks with gaffer tape holding it closed. :D :D

Speaking of replacement body panels, I was surprised to see how cheap panels are for the 2013s. I ordered the tail panel and right lower panel and they were roughly $20 US each. I expected them to be far more expensive, especially since they come prepainted. Hopefully, in time, prices for the later plastic bits come down to that level. If the PCX stays in production long enough with the current body style, they probably will.

As far as US dealers, the parts are pretty cheap. The problem is that parts are on a nationwide backorder until December.

Backorder for all PCX years (2010/2011), (2013), (2014/2015) ? Why? Do you know Valiant?

Body parts for pre 2015 are readily available in the USA. I just ordered some last week, came in a couple of days to the dealer. I think he means 2015...due to them being so new, body panels not widely available until 12/2014.

Yes - 2013 parts are inexpensive in the US and everything I ordered or inquired about was in stock. Probably by this time next year the 2015 parts will be.

I have been using these guys in Michigan. They seemed a few dollars cheaper than the other big supplier I found. Shipping was immediate.
