The Honda PCX / Forza / ADV150 / SH Forums

I am reading on various forums that folks have been noting (who happened to have AFR meters and be technically adept) that their Forza's have been running leaner than they should suspecting fuel pump problems for some time before the recall and issue was identified. I am wondering if additional damage might be possible in some cases because of the faulty fuel pumps on Forza's with lots of km/miles? Might be something to consider when having it repaired. Hopefully that is not likely but you never know. My Forza has less than 30 miles on it from a few test rides. Apparently, the swelling of the bracket can cause a lean condition rather than a complete failure.

I've wondered the same thing considering from Honda's recall notice, "A RESIN BRACKET INSIDE THE FUEL PUMP MAY SWELL AND INTERFERE WITH THE IMPELLER". It seems to me an interference problem implies that there could be wear which could result in debris which could clog the injector, not an unlikely result from a pump failure. Going over the service manual I only see a filter between the fuel tank and the pump none between the pump and the injector to protect it from debris originating from the pump. Lets see if there are premature injector failures coming.
