Has anyone used this?
I use the standard Tesco Unleaded fuel in my PCX,
but got told the Super Unleaded is good for cleaning out the engine etc,
and that the odd tank now and then is a good idea.
Obviously it costs a little more,
and a few people have noticed a difference when using it....
Just wondering if anyone on here as used it?
I might use it next when I fill up,
i'm guessing I just wait until my yanks nearly empty, then just put the Momentum in instead.....

Use the regular stuff, the higher octane stuff just costs more and is of no benefit whatsoever.

The Super Unleaded does not clean anything.

Whenever I see a Tesco station, I have to think about some melted engines back in 2007:

Sainsburys is the only supermarket fuel I risk my bikes and cars to have because its the same as BP with a few less additives (but still enough to comply to all the legal standards).
Higher octane rating does not mean more cleaning agents, unless the brand adds a few more of them to it.

higher octane for higher compression to avoid pre detonation, won't make a single bit of difference in a PCX

Ok kool thanks guys :-)
and i've only ever used Tesco Unleaded as it's just up the road from me.
This is what I read on the website:
All our fuels are refined on our behalf with performance additives and detergents designed to clean and protect your engine.
The largest additive package is added to our exclusive 99 Octane Super Unleaded -Tesco Momentum99.
The base fuels which we use conform to and are tested regularly against the following British Standards:

I use Asda's normal unleaded as the station is near me and petrol cheaper than anywhere else - Tesco's and Sainsbury's are further away and the Sainsbury's outlet annoys me as they hardly ever maintain their air pump and it's mostly out of service (no bother now as I've purchased my own bits for pumping air in the tyres) - but, why have it if they never maintain it!
Hope the fuel is ok - hard to believe contaminated fuel left the depots!
