The Honda PCX / Forza / ADV150 / SH Forums

If you have seen one of these anywhere what do you think? I had or have no interest in buying one but was curious and saw one in the store yesterday. Its butt ugly in my mind and could not less practical if they tried. Open the side cases and there is so little room for almost anything. The riding position and low seat height prove that it was designed in and for the Japanese market with little thought for the average height globally. Is it just me and do you think there is enough folks willing to hand over $12,500? Makes the Forza look like the steal of the decade!

Overpriced IMO. I thought it more scooter than motorcycle. My dealer confessed to me they can't move the CTX700s either in that size class so I wonder how they will do. He said they sell a lot more Shadows. I think he said it has a smaller tank than the Forza with that engine.

(Eye) Shadows make Harley's look macho. If such a thing was possible since the late 70s...

I do wonder why the dealer is having a hard time moving the CTXs? They seem like a cool bike. I want one!

I told my wife I have a camping bike and a touring bike and now I need a play bike. I explained to her how just one of my buddies new Harley's still costs more than all three of mine would be added together. She mentioned something about finding a good attorney and I took that as a maybe.

They are not shit! So far the reviews have been good. I like them!

Anything with an exposed chain final drive is shit.
Same goes for a 270 crank motor.
And feet forward pegs.
There's three good reasons not to buy one and I've not even got going yet.

That is a tough one. Since I have access to plenty of off-road riding and trails available I would go for another a combo bike. I have owned three different 175-250 cc Yamaha combos. For me they meet my playing definition. Honda has one too. Perfect for back country yet fine on the roads for short runs. I think I have the main road fun covered with the PCX and Forza for my speeds.

The chain, belt, drive shaft discussion is really somewhat related to use. Chains are the most efficient and most maintenance on most off-road or high-performance bikes. Shaft drives are the least efficient and expensive to fix. There are some good write-ups on when to consider each. I like the belts for low maintenance and just being cleaner (not spraying a lube all over) and I love the auto trans on the roads these days.
