Re: Ordered Givi V47, SR1123, and E134S Back Rest
I checked out that web page. I have also been thinking about getting that v47 top case. I have one question though. On the rack I see there is a sr1123 and a sr1123mm any idea what the difference is?
No difference listed in the product description.

Seems to indicate one is for the monolock Givi cases and the other for the monokey case.stryder123 wrote:I checked out that web page. I have also been thinking about getting that v47 top case. Monokey is the patented locking system that GIVI uses. One key can be used to lock/unlock the case and remove it from the mounts with the added option of matching all GIVI cases on your bike to the same key. It is also the name used for GIVI’s premiere series of cases.
The MonoKey series are actually the top of the line series with a more substantial mount, more features, and better quality construction. MonoKey mounts are sold separately.

Re: Ordered Givi V47, SR1123, and E134S Back Rest
I think if you go Monolock you save relatively little weight and the mounting pegs are far less stable. Unless you are very much budget restricted go Monokey.

Yes go Monokey! That is their best. I should get delivery on Wednesday.
I have not decided on which light kit yet. I like the Admore (brake and turn). There are others to consider.

Re: Ordered Givi V47, SR1123, and E134S Back Rest
I decided to go with the Admore lighting. I may mount the box arriving today until the lighting arrives.
Re: Ordered Givi V47, SR1123, and E134S Back Rest
Ordered from Revzilla for the first time. $125.10 and free shipping. Twistedthrottle was out of stock.
Re: Ordered Givi V47, SR1123, and E134S Back Rest
That case looks so wide and large on my dining table but matches the width of the Forza when I put it on the rear seat.
The case and mount are made in Italy but the seat back in Thailand. All very high quality.

Re: Ordered Givi V47, SR1123, and E134S Back Rest
AdMore lighting shipped for a Monday 12/22 delivery. Just-in-time for vacation. With snow in the air I may move the Forza into the walk-out basement for some accessorizing.
Re: Ordered Givi V47, SR1123, and E134S Back Rest
Looks good SECoda and drill press would certainly make it easier. Not unhappy with my silver version of box but carbon is cool. For anyone considering this setup it's probably a 20 minute job although I took my time being careful and about 30 minutes.

I think I am going to borrow Dennis's idea in a previous thread and use an adapter so I don't have to splice so many wires in. Great idea!
