What Years of PCX are the same?

It seems the 125 and 2013 150s are mostly the same, second generation 2015 several changes.

Will the body or other parts from US versions of 125 and 13 150s interchange?

Was the US model shipped to any other countries other than Canada?

Will the bigger gas tank of the 15 fit the earlier scoots?

That should just about say it all. Many of the members, including me, have replaced broken plastics with ones online for earlier models. Most of the plastics for the 2013 and earlier can be changed out fairly inexpensively. However, the 2015 model (2014 if you live in europe) is completely remodeled, so none of those parts will fit the earlier models...including the gas tank. Many of us are disappointed about that.

So the electrical, wheels. gears injector etc. are the same on 125s and 150s.

The piston size and bore are the only changes then. This is good news at least the 13 is not a one year model. Makes getting parts alot easier and cheaper!!

There's some electrical differences too. The head is TOTALLY different between the 125 and 150 also.

The models of PCX:
2011 MK 1: 125cc, no eSP. Original reference model. Worldwide distribution
2013 MK 2: 125cc, eSP. Better fuel economy than the MK1, completely different engine. Rare in the US, common in the UK.
2013 MK 2: 150cc, eSP. Same or better fuel economy than the MK1. Came out in late 2012, much to the dismay of 125cc owners in the US. Most common PCX in the US, in my opinion. Similar engine to the 125 eSP, but enough differences that you want to make sure the engine parts you're ordering are the same.

Variators and gearing is completely cross-compatible for the above 3, although the stock variator is different in all 3 and different if you live in the US (yay, we're all fat!). Body panels are interchangable, but there's a few MINOR differences, for example the fuel flap is completely revised and way better for the 2013 models. The wheels are identical. Top end (cam, valves, head, cylinder, and piston) are all different for all 3 models listed. Gas tank is different between MK 1 and 2. The electrical is NOT the same, and there is even variation within depending on whether or not you have a US model or the standard international model with idle stop.

The 2015 is the MK 3 and is completely different, engine and all. No fairings are interchangable. The gas tank will not fit on the MK 1 or 2.

Phew, that got complicated, but I think that covered it. Since I'm so inactive lately, PM me if you're confused on anything.

In Thailand, what is known as the 2011 in most of the rest of the world may also be a 2010 as that was the first year they were released here and that is what is listed on my registration.

I also noticed that the brake reservoir on Dave's 2011 125 is different than the reservoir on my 2013 150. His is oval while mine is a rectangle.
