My local Honda shop this confused about keys. They say they cannot convert the code that came with my PCs therefore they cannot order keys for me. They say they order me a blank with the wrench or Helix I'm not feeling very confident in their abilities can somebody give me some insight. Still have one key left.

My previous Honda scooter came with one key. The local dealers don't sell many scooters so they don't carry the blanks to make new keys. I had to contact Honda USA Headquarters and they made me 2 extra keys. Your profile does not say where you are located. You can add that information at the USER CONTROL PANEL at the top right of any page on this forum. Then we can find the right Honda office for your country.

If your dealer is willing to order a new blank, it should not be hard for them to make you a spare. The cost is low. You just have to wait a week for the blank to be delivered.

We have locksmiths in our area who carry every kind of blank you could think of, including computer chipped ones. I had found a blank for my Burgman Scooter online and the locksmith was able to make a duplicate quickly and cheaply.

By the way, what kind of bike do you have?

You should go to the Locksmith, they will disable the one you lost and set up a new one. Right now if someone found the lost one they have your car! I think you will need the tag that was on the fob when you got it - my Locksmith told me to save that tag in a safe place.

This is not hard people, buy extra keys for anything on the planet off the net, take the one you have to any local locksmith. No, second thought go to local locksmith like I did and hand over what you have. The guy just reach up and duped my Buell with exact key, even same color plastic. A family owned locksmith will have his great grandfathers blank keys hanging on the wall, thousands of blanks. How they know where the key is in the store is amazing :)
