Side Stand Switch.

Any one know how to disable the switch so it does not kill the engine.

I know its not a good idea because if you take off with it down you could crash. Learned that lesson many years ago!

Cut the two wires going to the switch and connect the two wires together.

What dasshreddar said. I've confirmed from another post a while ago. This is a winter project for me.

I know its a safety feature for most, but my daily use, I am having double the engine wear (start up) on the machine. And I have the 2011 model, with the known weak center stand hinge/engine case cracking.

Don't start it till you are sitting on it and ready to ride away.
Simple when you know how.

Thanks Guys! How do you get the bottom pan off to gain access to the switch?

I have a gate and shop door to open so 4 starts and stops each time i leave PITA this should cure the problem. :D

The bottom pan's a bit of a hassle, but the bottom left and right panels are easy to remove. It's covered in the dismantling guide, about halfway down. You can remove the lower panels without removing the seat or back panels: http://hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2630

You can take the switch off the side stand. Have the side stand in the up position. Try to start the bike to make sure it is in the right position. Then tape the switch so it can't move from that position. Put the switch out of the way. Now you can put it back on easy and no wires to cut or splice. I have run 2 other Hondas this way for 3 years with no problems.

Just a word of warning, be careful of this kind of modification. The PCX like all CVT scooters is always in gear, since there is no neutral setting. Harley's have no side stand switch and many a Harley has been dropped because some numb-nut started it while it was in gear and on the side stand. Don't be like those Harley owners.
