Paint job

I have a white PCX. I am considering painting the black panels and cowling in a colour. Has anyone had experience of doing this and is there any problems, is there any priming to be done? I was not thinking of spray can, beause of the cost and difficulty of producing a uniform finish.
Any suggestions please?

I don't know how hard it is to get parts there but replacement panels are usually quite inexpensive. Others here have changed out all of their panels fairly inexpensively. You could make your bike unique by changing out only some of the panels too.

Mel,

Am I right in thinking only the plastic panels are in a choice of colours? The black rubberised panels that I have seen on line are allways in black.

They have various colors of replacements for the black rubber panels as well on the bottoms out of aluminum.

Replace the panels with various colors....like VW did on their "Harlequin" models a few yrs ago. They made me smile - and always wanted one. A computer chose the combinations on the assmebly line. Image
