Question about the throttle...

Hi Everyone. I have a question regarding the throttle handle. All of my previous bikes had a throttle that would twist back into place when released and stop. I mean it would come to a stop and not travel anymore even if you tried to force it with your right hand. I have only had my PCX for two days but it seems that when I let it go, it twists back into place, but then I can physically move it more if i want to ( like about another 1/8' turn ). Is this because the PCX has fuel injection? All of my other bikes were carbureted. Maybe it was the throttle plate hitting a stop... Just curious...

That is interesting. I've never noticed that. I bet it just a little play in throttle mechanism and that is all.

Yeah, there just doesn't seem to be a fixed stop like my carburetor bikes had. Just wondering if your scooters have that same amount of play if you force it a little bit in the clockwise direction...

I will have to try it and will report back. I have the 2014 model. Someone with a 2015 should check this.

On my 2015, the throttle seems to twist back just a tiny amount and hits a stop. Hardly any play at all. It seems the pysical stop is part of the throttle housing rather than an adjustment down the line, just by the way it comes to a halt suddenly by twisting ever so slightly.
