Hi my PCx stopped working suddenly this morning after sitting over the weekend. It was ok for around 5 mins then chuddered and lost speed. Dash board all still lights up but flashes slightly when pressing ignition start up. Any ideas thanks

If the starter isn't spinning the engine it sounds like a flat battery

Thanks Going to try the battery tonight. It seems like each time I try to start the lcd screen flashes and goes back to normal.

It certainly sounds like the battery. If you use the start stop a lot in a single ride, or a lot during the week without hooking the battery up to a battery tender, it could be drained just enough that it no longer has enough power to start the bike. Charge over night and try again.

Could be a loose battery connection. Have you had a good rootle around?

Tried another battery in it still no joy. I'll check the spark plug tomorrow and maybe the wiring. Just seems to click each time I push the ignition to start up.

Yes side stand is definitely up. I know it doesn't start with it down.

There are several switches that are involved with starting the pcx. Any of those switches could be defective. Do the lights come on even though the bike won't start? Do the the turn signals work? If everything else works, i would think about fuses first and then switches. The fuses are by the battery. Check those first. There are 2 main ones for the bike and several smaller ones, plus some extras. Try those first. Then you can go for switch checks. Sometimes the side stand switch sticks, so check it and spray something like wd40 on it. I hope this helps some. I'm not a mechanic, so others may know more about this than i do.

Hard to believe it was the battery if it actually started from cold 1st time and lasted 5 mins and then chuddered, lost speed and died. Are there any flashing lights if you don't try to start it but have the ignition fully on? Sometimes you get flashes from the management/check systems to diagnose a fault (fuel delivery, etc).

Clicking of the starter and flashing of the dash is 100% of the time a battery issue. It's not getting enough current.
You can jumpstart your PCX from a powered-off car the same way you'd jump start a car (black to black, red to red). I'd do that next to troubleshoot.

It seems like just about all of my vehicle batteries that have failed go bad when it gets cold.
