Ran out of gas (petrol).

The tank took 1.619 US gallons to re-fill. I filled it right to the top even tho the owners manual says not to do that. The tank spec is 1.61 gallons.
I should have paid more attention to the odometer when the last fuel bar started flashing. I think i went 28 miles after it first flashed.
The scooter started slowing down when the fuel ran low. Then complete loss of power. I was 1/4 mile from the gas station. The scooter is easy to push.

I did that once, except I was a mile away from the closest gas station. What's worse, I thought a gas station a 1-3/4 mile away was the closest. It was a nice 30 minute walk of shame.

I came very close when I first bought my bike. I now have one of these under my seat. Just in case

My wife has pushed hers to its definite farthest. It coughed as we rolled into the station, and started to chug. She turned it off and coasted to the pump.

I measured 1.65 gallons US when I ran mine empty on purpose.

Actually it can be dual purpose. My backpacking cook stove can operate off of it too. Just in case I need an emergency coffee.

These tanks are way too small. Two gallons would be good.

The specs say my 2015 tank holds 2.1 gallons. Is that not correct?

Yes you have a bigger fuel capacity with your 2015 PCX among other subtle differences but Chief says he can out run you in the short race
