Recall on the FORZA seat lifter?

A Euro Forza owner recently mentioned that his dealer indicated that Honda was coming with a new gas piston lift rod for the Forza seat. Apparently this hold-open lifter is failing to hold the seat open on a lot of these scooters.
My dealer tech. said they have yet to see one of these rods consistantly able to hold the seat up.
Anyone have any new info on this subject?

Nothing new but failure rate is very high and way above the rate for fuel pump. Was told that it's almost 30% in Italy by my Italian born Honda dealer. Maybe a quick poll here - I will start and say mine is gone for second time in 6 months.
