So I now live and work in Vietnam (originally from Southern California). So bought my first bike. Went to the bike wash this afternoon for her first wash. Hand wash while you wait, for less than 1 usd. Sorry, pics loaded in the wrong order.

They don't offer the 150 here, so I got the 125. Not really a problem as traffic never gets above 40mph here.
I'll try to share some pics and links to some cool things they are doing with PCX here in Vietnam and SE Asia.

Its not the crowded roads that scares me, it's their utter disregard for traffic laws. Stop signs, traffic signals are routinely ignored. They drive on the wrong side of the road and even on sidewalks if it suits them.

Yikes! You'll be Riding in a Nightmare o_O
Wow, even on the sidewalks? Damn! Do you have police or is it that they are totally out numbered?
To say, "Be careful," just doesn't seem to cut it. :| Wear armor!!!

Have you ever played Frogger? Try crossing any uncontrolled street as a pedestrian.

On one occasion, I hailed a cab and got the driver to drive me, my wife, and 9 month old across the street. It was well worth the 9,000 Dong (about 50 cents) minimum fare.

Saigon (or Ho Chi Minh City as the commies call it, although if you're there I would call it Ho Chi Minh City just in case) and possibly Hanoi are sort of pedestrian friendly Most other major centres are kind of pedestrian friendly. But you get a lot of uncontrolled intersections and traffic circles that are a nightmare for pedestrians. Generally the bigger the vehicle, the more right of way it has. Trucks > Buses > Vans and cars > Motorized two wheelers > Bicycles > Pedestrians. Sidewalks are just parking spots for vehicles, or in the case above, additional driving lanes.

The rules are there ain't no rules. Been here almost a year and I still don't like it, but sorta gotten use to it. Might be a case of 'Stockholm Syndrome. '
