To anyone who might be interested out there in webland.

I bought a Givi B37 for my PCX way back
When I upgraded to a Forza I needed a new rack.
When I looked at the B37 the Base seems to support Both Monokey and monolock fittings.
I bought a monokey base and rack GIVI SR1123 for £60
When fitting I found that while the B37 has the lugs for the Monokey, the latch doesn't fit.
So anyway, I screwed up.

To fix it, I drilled out the adapter kit and fitted the universal base which came with the box.

It's wasn't very stiff and makes a lot of noise, but You can't just buy the Monolock plate on it's own.
So I took a risk and bought an M5M baseplate for £20.

Bingo, it fits. The holes line up and box doesn't make so much noise anymore.

So for ease of search engines.
Does a GIVI M5M fit on an SR1123? Yes it does

Tip for if anyone buys the B37 case.

It rattles like a *@~{ at low rpm.

To fix it, remove the latch from the lid, Careful as there is a spring which will try and escape.

Increase the spring tension by putting 5mm of rawl plug or something hard in the hole the spring resides in.

Re Assemble, Done

It makes the case want to spring open more and stops it rattling.

Is adding the Honda or Givi box something someone not accustomed to working with the plastic bodywork should attempt? What has to be removed to do the job?

The forza is easy, It was designed to be done easily. 4 holes need drilling/filing in a small panel which already has the locations marked on the back. The panel removes with two pushlocks.

Don't pay a dealership to do it.

The PCX is a little more tricky as it's easy to break the snaphooks.

What year is your PCX? The 2015 PCX has the holes there - you remove a small plastic panel to gain access, easlier ones as mentioned need the holes to be drilled manually.
