I'm 5' tall, 104 lbs, and really want a PCX but can only tip-toe while on the seat. Was thinking of getting the seat shaved down = $160 and maybe some higher soled boots. I have a few questions: 1) does the PCX has a low centre of gravity (a must for small stature)? 2) I'm dying to know if my soft Oxford motorcycle panniers and top case would fit on the PCX (usually the front straps of the side bags are tied to the footpegs on a motorbike, but the PCX's fold in). Both dealerships within range know very little about the scoot and have given me poor service, and 3) how would a GPS be waterproofed and plugged into the adaptor? Thank you for any advice out there -

2: go to a showroom with your panniers and try them on
(you don't need to use those front straps onto the footpeg hangers the top ones are enough)
3: no idea

My wife is also 5 ft tall. We went to Amazon.com and purchased some gothic boots (Demonia Ranger 301) and she has been riding ever since. Later on we purchased a lower seat from powerbypcx.com and some Takegawa lowering shocks, which made riding even easier for her. We also purchased the tall Givi windscreen for it so that she feels almost no wind now. First things first, though. Get the boots. They will make riding much easier.

Going along with what Mel said, here's a photo (taken from Amazon) of the boots his wife wears: Now that's a big outer sole and heel! That will make you grow-upward fast. I may be able to help you boot-wise too, but again it all depends on your location and shoe/boot size.

Oh, and there's no shaving of our seats. There's not much to work with. Many members have purchased custom seats and they really like them (priced nicely too).

And yeah, like gn2 said....take those panniers to the dealer and test them on "the real thing." Fab idea!

I have used sets of these on different bikes for 20 years, and they really hold up. The price is right as well.
There is a front attachment for the bags that goes to a bolt on metal strap with a Fastex buckle that is usually goes on the rear foot pegs. I plan to use a webbing strap with 2 buckles that will wrap around under the nose of the seat.
There is a rear strap that keeps then from going forward, and I plan to put the top straps under the seat.

That is ludicrous, you couldn't walk around in those. Lower the bike. Narrow the front of the seat ...and make sure..ahem..that the inner thighs are as slim as possible
