My 2013 pcx150 and the 30-year-old bike she's replacing

Here they are, side by side. Purchased the CM450 on the right in 1984 (it was a new '82). Just over 20,000 miles. I think the first 15K miles were the first few years, when I was in college and it was my ONLY transportation. Since then I've only ridden it casually.
Over the years, I decided I now just wanted something to commute with, something zippy and fun. It kind of reminds me of my old moped days, only WAYYYY better. I love my 450, but at the same time, I guess I've gotten bored with it. Selling it to my son in Chicago tho, so it'll at least be in the family! And he doesn't have a garage, so it'll visit me in the winter, hahahah
The PCX is still freaking me out. I find myself hitting 40-50mph and wondering where the hell the engine noise is. All I hear is WIND. It's pretty cool.

Welcome to PCX world. Being a 2013 model, was it ex-demo or such with a few miles on the clock or new, but older version?
You seem to be lucky with a PCX that is not too noisy - mine is very loud, but my 2015 125 seems to have a slightly noiser than some people's CVT transmission. Not too bad, but I can hear it from starting off till 30mph though my full face helmet.

It was a brand new (0 miles) 2013 I purchased two weeks ago. Dealer was clearing out old stock. They actually had three of them. Their sale price was more than a thousand dollars off of list. I couldn't say no to that, regardless of the updates on the '15 model :-)
Definitely getting a new seat though (already on the way).

Funny thing is, it's an exact repeat of history. My original bike (pictured above), was a new 1982 model I got early spring 1984. $999 new. I love a deal :-)

$1000 off! When was it 1st registered? Just wonder how long is was sat in the dealers and if it's wise to change the oil (assuming the dealer hadn't).

Don't wonder, the oil will be fine.
