I understand a tire is a tire but i know all tires are not the same. I've been looking for some GOOD tires because i plan on doing a lot of riding soon. I'm torn between getting some pirelli diablo tires or michelin tires. Which one should I get? Recommendation would be alright to.

Well I have over 40,000 km on Pirelli Diabilo tires. I trust them totally. Never had a flat, never ever slipped in the heavy rain. Thats my experience. ;)

I found that these tires really "stick" to the road. On dry road I can drive more agressive with confidence. On wet roads, the tread pattern wisks water away from the tire contact surfaces well.
When I first put them on the cornering was solid when compared to the stock tires.

One tyre outlet specified these as summer tyres, but I guess that applies to most tyres that are not made specifically for winter use rather than being classed as all-weather tyres.

I changed from the stock tyres to Michelin City Grips and they certainly seem a lot grippier and give me a lot more confidence. I've only done about 600 miles or so on them but I've ridden in some pretty nasty rain and a little bit of ice and hail etc.

Disclaimer - I'm a newbie so the confidence may be partly down to more experience in general, or could be purely psychological but they certainly feel a lot better to me. Can't comment on the Pirelli's though.

We put Michelin City Grips on both of our scooters, even my new one that only had 1000 miles. The city grips are really great and hold really well. We wouldn't want to put anything else on them.

Approaching my first service and using City Grips on my PCX, brilliant tyres and great value for money.

I bought the michelins because the were cheaper than the Pirelli. Also the reviews were better.

I got them from canadamotorcycle.com by I think scooterpartsco.com out of NC also has them. Good folks to order from.

From reviews I found, people were mostly in favour of the City Grips above the Pirelli, although the Pirelli are regarded above the stock tyres (which people seem to dislike).

Same here - not had any issues with stock, but I can understand how the others would grip better on turns as the IRC do not have as much tread pattern. I'n now best part of 4000 miles in and a year on, and I can see no real signs of wear rear or front.
