This fellow used a clever method to warm the clips on PCX panels in order to separate them, safely.
He might have learned the need for this precaution, the hard way.....
He has lots of DIY PCX videos.

I know it might be more time consuming , and costly, for Honda to use a bunch of phillips screws to hold panels together - rather than these bleedin' clips - but dang it would make dissassembly so much easier & less frightening for us if they had!
I know...it's not just HONDA doing this....
Still, I'd pay $50 more for any scoot that was assembled this way!
Shoot, I'd pay $200 more!

The panels are easy to remove in-order, and I've even made it into a guide for you here: http://hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2630

The video applies to the headlight assembly. This is melting glue, not clips. 8)

Geez, I'd think the plastic would deform before the glue would let go.
Interesting.
Thanks for the info - my Japanese is off this month.
