Honda 1982 Aspencade, Low Miles vs Good Value

Question, I have a lead on a 1982 Honda Aspencade 1100. Less than 9000 km and reported in mint condition. Newer tires and battery. Obviously it has sat for a long time and not been run. The fellow is asking 3750.00. Is there anything one should be concerned about being that it has such low mileage and has sat for many years? Thank you in advance for your guidance.

Depends on when it was last ridden.
Check the clutch, plates could be stuck together
Check that mice have not eaten the wiring or made a nest in the air box.
Why so low mileage, if the reason is OK buy it.

Carburettors could be full of gunk and require proper professional ultrasonic cleaning.
Tank could be rusty inside.
Even when new it was a bloated overweight pile of shite.
Best avoided.

I hate carbs. You will undoubtedly buy it and never get it running.

Seriously, I think you all are right. I am not looking for a restoration project.
I just love the concept of a "Goldwing" type of bike that does not cost me 30 grand.

Get a Silverwing then.
Just as comfortable and much more agile.

You can get a mid to late 90s Goldwing for about $4,000-5,000. Yes it's still carbureted but they're likely still running very well.

An early 90s Honda Pacific Coast 800 (PC800) is another one, you can probably find one for $3,000-$4,000.
