Torque Settings for Transmission Cover

Does anyone know the torque setting on those little 8MM screws that hold the transmission cover on? I change my vario last night over to a NYC ( with 13 gram rollers ) and I am always afraid that I might over tighten and strip that aluminum tread. I wish there was a place to find all of the bolt torque specs for our PCX's ( short of buying the service manual $$$ ).

Yes. Not too tight.

Honda doesn't provide specific torque values in the manual, but gives a generic 16 ft/lb for 8mm screws (2011 Helm manual, page 1-10).

I'd err on the loose side, and use threadlocker if you're really worried.

Of note that I forgot to mention, they say you should tighten the plastic fan cover up front to a whopping 0.6 ft/lb... So don't overtighten that. ;)
