Possible new scoot

Hi All,
I've been enjoying my new Forza for the last few weeks, and now something new has come up. I went to my dealer's open house yesterday, and as I walked in they asked if I wanted to enter the raffle for a new scooter. I said "I just bought one". They said "Why not do it anyways, for fun?". I said okay, and entered. A few hours later, they called and told me I won.
This never happens... I NEVER win anything!
So here's the question. It's a new 2011 PCX 125. Should I? Is there any downside to this scooter? It would be a significant upgrade to my wife's Buddy 50/70, which she uses primarily for commuting (pretty much all city streets), and some occasional weekend scooter group rides.
What is important to know about the 125?
TIA

A 2011 PCX 125 will be a pre-eSP model with weak centrestand mounts.
These can fracture and tear holes in the crankcase from which all the engine oil leaks out.
Simply remove the centrestand and it'll never happen

Apart from that its a little cracker of a city runabout and you've had a very good result indeed.

We pick this up for the Mrs tomorrow. $335. That's a deal I can handle.

$335 is a hell of a price for a raffle ticket!

Not if it comes with a free scoot
That's how I got back into biking, when I won a Sim 50 last year, then I traded up (way up) to my PCX150.

That is probably the taxes reg, or fees he had to pay. Some wins aren't so free. I hope he didn't buy more than one ticket.

the $335 is the tax/title/license fee - standard for a raffle win. Can't avoid stuff like that. Didn't have to buy the ticket.

You can't bet a deal like that.

That pic kind of makes me wish I had gone with red instead of black for my pcx.

Don't forget to claim value as income for tax purposes. Still a great deal!

FABULOUS!! What Great Luck! See....everything (sometimes) comes in time. Never a winner and Now Look-at-Cha! Very cool, and wifey looks like she's Loving YOU More (if that's even possible)
A second scoot, scootin' on down the road......Priceless! (get it? Freebie!)
YES!!
Lightbulb...I'm going to start a new thread!

Off topic. Let's see how lucky everybody else is around here

Off I go!

If that is a 2011 non Esp, like the one Dave has (though his is white), the 170cc Big Bore Kit should work nicely on it, turning it into a real rocket! Ask Dave about it. You may be pleasantly surprised at how cost effective it is to turn that little scooter into a mean machine.

I can't say there's a point in doing that if he already has a Forza. Leave it stock and you can sell it if you're not satisfied with the power.

For the price, we are looking at it as a step-up upgrade path for the Mrs. She wasn't comfortable with the size of the Forza, but was definitely ready for something more than her Buddy 50/70. If, in a year or so, we can get a few hundred on it from a trade-in, we haven't really lost anything
