This is a mesh seat cover for scooters that is sold at many small shops. There are different sizes - the PCX takes a 2XL. Cost was $7 USD. It is anchored with 3 velcro straps under the seat.

The mesh is spiral wound, and will allow airflow under your butt. Great in a hot climate.

That will be my next purchase for my PCX. Looks great with the silver (same as my bike).

Does it only come in black? Our problem, and I am sure this applies to others, is when we get off of the bike and go inside for a little while, the seat absorbs heat so that when you come back out your seat is very hot. I would think that even though that is mesh, it still would get hot because it is black. Right now we put a hand towel across the seat and tuck in the ends.

Mel, you could try something like this: http://www.genuinecoolass.com
Members of the Modern Vespa forum have been using them for years. Those that have them, claim they work. They wouldn't go without it ......"In the heat of heat, the heat gets so hot" :P

Mel - the mesh that your butt will have contact with has much less thermal mass than a seat and seat cover, and will not hold as much heat.

I was out running errands today, it was 95 degrees and the bike was parked in the sun at times. The black metal luggage rack got too hot to touch, but the mesh next to it was only warm - much cooler than the seat cover used to be in the same situation.
