Learned weight capacity of a SW 650 barely above my Forza.
270 rider + 130 wife = only Majesty or Burgman 400 (carries more than the ,650!)
No ABS on the Majesty, major failing , but if head shoulders better than the Burgman would consider it.
Opinions please!

Majesty definitely not superior to the Burgman 400.
Majesty has issues with clogging airfilters, three in total which are expensive and require regular changes.

Don't know about the USA, but here in the UK an ABS equipped Burgman 400 is currently only £400 more than a Forza.
Majesty no longer on sale here.

Wouldn't worry about the load rating too much, its intended for two people plus luggage.

I owned a Burgman 400 and would gladly recommend it to anyone. Even my wife, who is only 5 ft tall could ride it, though it wasn't easy to manipulate when she was in town with it. I traded down to the pcx 150 only because we spend more time riding around in town than out in the country. However, it handles 2 up easily and was a dream to ride. I could have taken it across country and been quite comfortable doing it. I put the Givi windscreen on it for added wind protection and a Givi tailbox, and it was ready to go. It was easy to maintain too. The back brace moves back and forth for more individual comfort too. I couldn't have asked for a better scooter, and if I ever get the chance to buy another one, I may just do so.

This is exactly my experience with my Burgman 400. I bought it in Florida where everything is dead-straight and too fast.
It was a great two-wheel tool for that environment. But, here in KY with narrow streets, twisty rural areas, etc, the PCX was the better tool. My opinion of the Burgman is universally positive. No one item that will knock your socks off, but taking everything into account, overall a nice scooter. The plus's are lots of room under the seat, very freeway capable, reliable as a brick. The minus's are, cumbersome in traffic, hard to put on the stand for some people(me), and vague handling. But, none of that is bad enough to warrant concern--just personal preference/opinion. Oh yeah, I would put another windscreen on a Burgman if I was going to spend a lot of time in highway situations. Cant go wrong though

Sure leaning in on this Burgman....
Gonna go look at a new one in an hour.
I want a ride to share my scooter hobby with my wife.
No highway rides...just country highways, 55mph at most.
I will not buy another scoot that does not have ABS.....and.may even move up again if stability control shows up on a maxi scoot.
Plan is to ride this final scooter into my sunset (and10 -15 yrs) with my wife.
Three yrs now since discovering scooters.....think I'll stay with them.

Just stick with the Forza, it will do the job just fine.

You couldn't ask for a better scoot for those intended purposes in my opinion. Take your Wife with you and let her sit on it with you so you can get a feel for 2-up. You'll love all the storage. You can pack a picnic lunch, some jackets, etc with no problem. If you can ride it, that will be even better. But I can assure you, it has power. Sometimes I had to do I-95 in FL and it merged and passed with no problems. As well as a Goldwing, no, but no worse than my Sportster -lol

We had the Burgman 650 and 400.
Wife likes my present 300 Forza better than her (now gone) 400 Burgman.
The 650 Burgman was just way up and above these two for riding anywhere, anyway, anytime.
But routine maintenance was !#$%^&^%, and if it did break it's forever belt: more !#$$$$$$$$!#^&$
My 2 cents: This modern 300 class Forza is just right for 97% or more of real world, everyday driving.

The trick for getting the Burgman 400 on its center stand is that you must make sure that both of the centerstand feet are solidly on the ground first. Then you stand on the centerstand lever, right hand on the passenger handle, left hand on the handlebar, and rock the bike back. I had the shop demonstrate it to me and help me until it became a smooth action. The mechanic said that the key to putting ANY scooter on the center stand is to make sure both centerstand feet are firmly on the ground before doing anything.

Works exactly the same on big motorcycles.....both feet down eazy peazy.
Dealer has a Burg 400 ABS in stock, and a SW w/180 miles on it.
1K$ diff in prices.
Offering $3K for my Forza trade.
No warranty on SW.
Said load weights are no factor in real world.....just manufacturers CYA.
Will try to find feedback from SW owners.

Not always.
Sometimes it can better to stick with a particular brand if you get excellent customer service from the dealer.

Anyone tried the new improved Yamaha TMax 500 cc scooter? Looks good on the internet, but have not seen one in the flesh.
