Misshaped mask plastic creates vibration noise on low rpm

Hello to all! I am a new member and a very satisfied owner of a new 2014 pcx150. However, I have faced some problems, like all people do. First thing was that there was a periodic squeaking noise coming from the back. The official honda technicians searched about it, but they could not hear anything. The noise disappeared two days after the scooter had its first service together with the drum brake cleaned. Right now I face another problem. The front mask plastic has lost its shape due to the sun heat and when I ride on low rpm - km/h there is a vibrating noise, because the plastic parts dont have a perfect contact. Is it a big problem that should be repaired asap, or can I slack about it? Thanks a lot in advance and nice to meet you all!

It would probably help if we knew where you were from. It is hard to imagine the area being so hot that it melted the plastic on your bike. Pictures would help.

Bump.

The plastic has not melted of course, but its bent/warped. In the front mask on the left and right sides there are two parts going inside each other, the left one is separated. And the top of the speedometer has popped a bit out, cant explain it better right now. But there is an opening between the two parts

Ive had this happen on my PCX and Eton. The sun heats everything up and things expand. On my Eton, the mirrors are plastic, so when they expand, the lens vibrate like crazy!!! It so bad it sounds like piston slap! On the PCX, the mirrors are also the culprit, but is a lo-frequency rumble. Even covered, I experience this phenomenon when its time to leave work. I suppose for body parts, they could be pulled and felt or something put in between the parts to quiet it down?

I will visit the honda service and show them what is going on and we will see. I dont mind since its not something mechanical. However, the plastic parts sounding like a rattlesnake when on low throttle being ready to take off, or when i am braking to stop, is a bit you know. Cheap.

I didn’t realize that it gets hotter there than where I live, but I guess it does. Following the globe it looks like where I live, in the southern part of the United States, our weather should be similar to that of Israel rather than Greece. So far none of our panels have shifted or lost their shape. I don’t know if there was that much of a difference in the styles between the 2013 and the 2015, but maybe there is and that is causing the apparent changes in the plastics. I wonder if Honda is aware of this. They manufacture the scooters in Thailand unless they have opened the facility in Italy that I read about somewhere. If you find out anything new on this please keep us informed. This could be an interesting dilemma.

Yes, I have heard that they made scooters in Thailand and also I have seen on youtube a review about the cbr650F and the guy in the video comments on several plastic parts. However, I am sure that the heat is responsible for the warped plastics on my pcx, since there is hardly any spot with shadow near the area I work. Anyway. And yes Whitenoise, good luck to me, I will need it! Thanks for all your replies! I will consider buying something bigger sooner or later, but I will make a new thread about it when I am ready with the bike list.
