Variator Weights...

Variator Weight Changes... Watching YouTube... and considering changing to an aftermarket variator... and reading everything about variators... really read about smoother gear changing... better acceleration... not really see anything about higher top speed...
I see weights (variator rollers) come in 9gr, 10gr and 12 gr...
I see a lot on YouTube other PCX riders are installing the 12gr rollers..
But, to my question...
Can someone explain to me... what the weight changes do... what use 9gr would be for? and alike 10gr and 12gr...
lighter weights give you better acceleration?
and
heavier weights give you better top speed (but you loose acceleration)?
Thanks.... ThailandPCX
