My fiancee loves guinea pigs. Sadly, they are the only thing I'm allergic to (well, aside from benadryl).
We have two dogs and a cat.
Here's Maddie, my dog. She was a rescue from the animal shelter near here. She was emaciated and very sick when we adopted her. If we hadn't adopted her, she would have been put down. She was about 8 pounds when we got her (fully grown), and has since been fed back to health and is around 18 pounds now:

Here's Sophie, my wife's dog. She came from the Humane Society near here, and had a whole bunch of socializing issues. She got along well with Maddie, and liked me and Marcia, so we rescued her. She is still terrified of most people, but she will warm up to them after a few minutes and then is really playful:

And here's our cat, Moose. She's a little cat, about 5lbs. She showed up under my shed last October, and didn't go away, so we had to let her in so she wouldn't freeze to death over the winter. We got her spayed, nursed her back to health (she was sick), and tried to find her a home. February this year, we still hadn't found her a home, so we were stuck with her. She has been adopted by the dogs, and they all sleep in a dogpile.

Yeah, those are comfy. We still have the frame, but had to throw out the cushion because someone spilled beer all over it at a party.

Wooley does your cat get along with the guinea!?!
Maddie, its crazy when dogs and cats get along.Usually small dogs do way better with them than big dogs.I just have way too many dogs to even try it.

The boss of all my dogs is the black/white boston terrier. He was the only male until I picked up the white/black Frenchie recently. The pitbull is very submissive to all of them.Shes like their bodyguard bigger sized sister but is actually younger than most of them.

my guinea pigs in a very large cage in my bedroom, so my cat cant get to him

The cat very rarely comes in aswell, and when she does she doesnt even seem to notice that he exists. Maddie, you can get replacement cushions pretty easily in the US from what i can see on ebay. Pricey though.

how can you sleep with a guinea pig in your room?? My sister had one when I was little, and it was always gnawing on the bars and chirping.

Alleykat - We've gotten lucky, cats have always gotten along with our dogs. We used to have an old tomcat named Domino, and he and the dog were best friends. That's funny that the terrier runs the show, but it isn't a surprise. Maddie is the boss at my house, and at the in-law's house, their 80lb pointer-lab mix is submissive to her. I love pitbulls that are raised well, they're usually the sweetest, most submissive dogs. They get such a bad rap from bad owners, it's quite sad. There are hundreds around here in shelters that no one will adopt because of their bad rap.
Woolley - We don't have room for the chair anymore, sadly, so no replacement cushion unit until we get a house larger than 800 square feet.

Shame. Those chairs are so sought after in the UK since "the pier" chain of shops closed down, they were the only place that imported them here. Eddie, he doesnt really squeak unless youre feeding him so hes generally quite quiet. He does knaw the bars all night, but you get used to it. Plus i always go to sleep listening to futurama or the simpsons or something through one headphone from my computer. Dont know why, just always have, and i cant get to sleep in silence

Ive got a program that i can set to turn my computer off on a timer too. Im all sorted

I love the one of him reclining.
I had a similar-looking cat as a child, his name was Pickles. Odd name for a cat, but that's what I wanted to name him apparently.

There is a story as to how Cyber got his name. I met wifey on a msn chat room. In the 6 months we talked online before we met we talked about just about anything and agreed if we ever got together and got a cat we would name it Cyber. At the time i had no idea it would actually happen!

Ill sleep through anything. I fell asleep at a concert once. Cant remember what band it was, but i just got really tired and went to sleep on the sorta raised bit for people in wheelchairs at the back of the civic hall. Might have been bullet for my valentine thinking back.

That's exactly where it came from! I'm surprised you caught the reference.
We must have grown up watching all the same shows.

Here is a photo of our most recent pets. We are currently looking into getting a cat, but there are bobcats and coyotes where we live so it would need to be an indoor cat.......and I haven't figured out how to deal with the scratching.

I used to own a chicken named Nader. He was the bomb. He didn't give a fuck about ANYTHING, even our cats. I found him while road biking, caught him, rode about 20 miles while holding him in one hand, then let him loose in my backyard. He didn't have a pen, he slept in an old doghouse and just chilled around the yard. We're not sure what happened to him though, he just disappeared a few summers ago.
