tire changing woe with my PCX

How the hell to get that stiff back tire off the rim? Can it be done without recourse to professional men and their machines? I have a hole in my back tire that will no longer hold a plug--I have already plugged it three times. I hate to lose this tire--it is almost new--but it's too badly wounded to survive.

14" is impossible w/out garage, find someone who knows and cares about your rims. Where are you at? Put up your location and maybe someone can help or has extra tires like me.

Yeah, a machine is best for that job. You could get a proper cold patch on it while it's off, too. much surer and safer repair than plugging.

I'm guessing you don't have a large vice or a G clamp?

Neighbor has a car? See here. Couple of bits of 2x4 and a lever

There are several youtube vid's showing people removing and replacing the tyre themselves (hard work though) - one used tie-wraps to halp sequeeze the tyre to aid removal. Not done it and a bit worried the tyre would not seat properly on the rim once inflated. There may have been links to such vid's on this site before but they tend to get buried after some time.

Pansies   use a lot of lube and some muscle...

OP try using some wire cutters or similar to cut off the rear tire since it is no good.

p.s. I swapped my front 120s awhile back and the GTS 23 is way nicer a ride than the Scoot Smart forza crap.

man I tried that and after about 15 minutes decided that scratching up the rims was not worth taking it to goodyear  and the guy did it for future business... free!

I use 3 tyre levers, a rubber mallet, fairy liquid and a ratchet strap(tighten around new tyre once in place then inflate).

O yea and a set of bolt cutters may be required to snip the old tyre off the rim
