Anyone have a recommendation for a backrest? I dont need a box, just a backrest that is high enough to keep a passenger from flipping off.

Webikejapan sells several versions. Not cheap, but mine was very well made and secured very well. A nice solid, heavy gauge piece of kit.
No photo.. sold the Forza, sold the backrest on ebay.
But do recommend the quality and usefulness of it. On that site they are all pretty similar.
Padding was good, heavy rails, nicely stitched cover of very good quality vinyl.

coachz, Shad makes one: http://www.shad.es/en/shad-usa/products ... a/c14mar1/

...and so does Utopia (scroll down page):http://www.utpr.com/hondalinks.html

I hope you find what you need for your pillion's safety and comfort. Now I will ask you a favor, would you please add your location and year bike to your profile? Really simple to do and it helps us All help You :)
Easy directions are right below. Thank ya!

Thanks for the replies. Regarding the shad model I don't see one specifically or for a forza of 300. Regarding the Utopia model it appears the backrest is only for the driver's seat and not for the passenger. So far I've probably spent 2 hours trying to find a backrest this is not going well. The shad backrest look perfect but I don't see myself calling Spain on the phone to find out.

Hi again coach. Oh no that's not good news! Spain??
Shad USA contact info shows them in Miami Florida and you can write them from that page. I did it recently. I had asked about a PCX passenger backrest. I also asked if I could use the Honda PCX rear rack With their PCX Backrest. We went back and forth a few times and in the end the rep said he believed they would marry (sweet). He added he'd give me a discount to try it and if the two parts didn't work together I could send it back no charge. They are very helpful there.
So yes, I think it might be a good idea to chat with them. They might make a backrest for your 300 Forza, they have to start somewhere right? Besides you put your time in hunting one down, what's another hour or two  o_O
Well...it Can't hurt to try.

It looks too low. My wife will flip off. The shad looks great if they make one for a 300.

There is a really bad joke in here somewhere.

I would just bite the ugly pill and add a top box. I have giant 55 litre Givi top box and it does not look that ugly. Says the colour blind guy who dresses strangely every day except Halloween. Super heavy rain right now and I have to go to a funeral. I want my funeral to be on Halloween also or maybe Christmas or maybe Monday but not today.

Sorry you're still waiting to hear from them coachz, I waited too. In fact I used their contact form twice. I'm persistent when I want something. I also emailed them. In the end it took them 6 or 7 days from my first contact (form) to communicate back. Then they were very helpful (see my last post above).
:| Up to you, but I would give them another try. It's hard to find a pillion backrest...the kind your wife would need.
The Shad kind. Good luck :)

I have a Givi tailbox on both of our PCX 150s. An accessory for these is a padded backrest that attaches to the box so that a passenger can use it as a backrest. I am sure Shad has the same thing. It is much more practical to buy a tailbox than to try to find a backrest that looks good. When not being used, the box easily comes off, leaving a flat platform that can be used to carry items on.

Any other ideas for a nice backrest ? Shad sucks at calling back. I really dont need a box, just a backrest.
