My bike was manufactured october 2014, I purchased it new april 2015...is it considered a 2015 model ? even though built in 2014
2014/15?

Re: 2014/15?
Depends where you are.
Most countries don't have an obsession with year models and there isn't always a change of model each year anyway.
Natural logic suggests that a bike manufactured in 2014 will be a 2014 model however natural logic does not always apply in a certain place north of Mexico.

Re: 2014/15?
I thought dealers in the UK were describing the '14 reg PCX's as 2015 models - something to do with advertising nonsense. If it's made in 2014 then it should be a 2014 model but could be 1st registered in 2014 or 2015 - depends if the dealer does the trick or registering it themselves before it sells (again, a con to get the numbers up each period that they sell, even if it's to themselves!), or if they 1st register it when sold.
Another issue is if it's registered but sits in the showroom for 1.5 yrs then sells for the 1st time to a customer - it's only got 0.5 year manufacturers warranty left!

Typically anything manufactured after May or June (i.e. July or later) is considered the next year's model. By July most assembly plants are retooling for the next year's model which generally hit the market in about October, particularly if there is a design change.

Yes it's most likely a 2015 model - are you in USA? Reason I ask is cuz they skipped the 2014 model year entirely in USA even though many other countries got 2014's - I guess to clear out the inventory of unsold 2013's. I think it shows the model year of your PCX on the VIN sticker to the left of your ignition?pcx150man wrote:Hi, just wondering really.![]()

Kramnala is right that they usually switch model years around summer time. I snapped this pic of a grey 2016 PCX on Sept 16th, so it was presumably made in June or July in order for it to make its way all the way from Thailand/Vietnam to Florida

No, I am in Australia.....The dealer had me believing it was in fact a 2015, all the way up to doing the paperwork.....I did do a very good deal ...hence why I did not complain, it had a 100k's on the clock, all caned demo k's though, I'm guess'n.
I got the genuine Honda top box and a great set of leather gloves thrown in on the deal, and heaps off the list price.
By the way GatorG,thx for the vids, and keep em coming, I enjoy hearing and seeing other's first hand perspectives on the pcx.....mind you I am a fanatic!

People who watch paint dry are mere amateurs with no stamina.
Hardcore is watching it fade and crack.
