So what's happening with you scooter boys? I think I will give the tough guys at the track a break for a couple days, see if they miss me

Had acouple of Buells in my dim and distant past (White Lightening and XB9S) - more of a treat to those looking than those riding (imho) - and un-reliable..

I had a Buell S3T sport/touring bike for 3 years. During that time,
I had 10 recalls on the bike, most of them major. Another recall
came through after I had already sold the bike. Ironically, the
fellow who bought it has now been riding it for about ten years with
zero problems. After all of those recalls, it was practically a
new machine, with upgraded components replacing many poorly
designed original parts.

But the Buell was a hoot to ride (when it wasn't in the shop for
recall work). I had the dealer install the complete factory racing
kit. With that stuff installed, it sounded like a big block Mustang
when idling, and the torque was outrageous. I made the mistake
of buying a Honda ST1100 sport/tourer to replace the Buell.
It was glitch-free, but the bike just didn't have any personality.
Kind of like a 2 wheel car.....pretty boring....but very reliable.
My PCX150 is a lot more fun to ride than the Honda ST1100.
It's reasonably fast for around town riding, and it doesn't weigh
as much as a Sherman tank !

I bought my PCX for the same reasons... It is fun to ride, it is reasonably fast for in town use, and doesn't weigh a ton like the big bikes do. I do wish it was a 200 cc though, for getting out of the way of the soccer moms who are in a hurry to get somewhere, and don't have time to put down their cellphones while driving. Every day I have to avoid at least one driver who is texting while driving and is all over the road. By the way, why do those driving the big SUVs have to swing into my lane to turn in the opposite direction? They do this even if they are just turning down a street, and those beside them had better be aware because they don't care if they are half in your lane!

We must obey the immutable "Law of Gross Tonnage."

Not long to wait, there's some excellent work being done on electric bikes and scooters in the USA.
