I read ya! It's been Raining here day after day and heavy at times. Lots of early to mid afternoon fog and temps above normal. Even with the temps up it's been too crummy out to ride and so gloomy. Add to that, that my Mom (90) couldn't breathe, had heart failure & was hospitalized for 8 days....well you can imagine. Tough holiday this year, but she's out now and appears to be getting stronger every day. I spent Christmas at the Nusing Home with her and delivered 30 gifts to the staff there. That made her happy, and ME too!
Ah gee, I didn't mean to go on like that. Sorry. Guess I needed a shoulder or 100's to lean on.
I'm bringing us back on track. Is everybody's weather off the wall "Crazy?"
Something's Brewing. Do we want to know?

I've been told that the weather patterns this year are due to an abnormally strong El NiƱo. The brief bits of sun on these warm days make me wish I were able to ride.

Sorry about your Mom, WhiteNoise, but glad if she's getting better.
I'd heard about the El Nino thing, Honkerman.
We had huge floods here in early October and haven't dried out since
(and it's getting really, really old).
I've been riding in it.
Even with the lap blanket, I'm hating the 90+ % humidity...
and the slimy stuff that washes onto the road every time it rains, ew

Sorry to hear about your mother WN. Our shoulders are here any time for you.
Great job at giving the staff gifts, proving once again that it is indeed better to give than to receive.

I see you are the countries coldest spot and here in Chicago we are riding the edge of your chill dodging those single digit numbers trending towards warmer weather... maybe you will benefit too.

Yes, I heard that you guys were having some serious challenges.
We had a whole lot of rain over a couple of days and then some poorly maintained dams broke.
Fortunately I live on higher ground, but near my house...
One of those is a favorite sandwich place called Jersey Mike's that has rebuilt and reopened.
On the other hand, the income tax place still looks like that.

Ya'll are the Best! I want a hug and I want to hug yas back!! Really!!!
Mom unfortunately went back in the hospital yesterday morning (emergency transit vehicle). Her blood hemo level drops often and it happened again. Two transfusions last night. It was another long day. She's getting out at 4pm today. Sigh, so hard for her. All the bruises from needles and her hearing aid is malfunctioning.
What's the saying? "When it Rains it Pours?"
Ah crap! We all have had enough of this shite wet! Non-stop. Had snow the other night too.
Gotta leave now, but thanking You again b4 I depart. Hand on my chest.
Temps are falling and getting back on Winter's target. Ice and..............
Cruise anyone? That would be nice.

Come to sunny Queensland my friend, and bring your Mom with you. We'll cheer you both up and feed you some sunshine and good food.
If that's not possible, you have our best hopes and wishes.

The last 3 days have been sunshine and cold here in Seattle. Otherwise, it has been raining for ever.

Did you know that it actually rains more here in Georgia than in Washington State? Really. Our daughter lives up there and we have been trying to figure out a way to afford to move out there close to her and her family. Since rain is what Seattle is known for, I thought I would check the stats on rain. It drizzles a lot in Seattle but it pours here when it rains. When I say pours I mean it floods. When it rains here you can expect tornadoes, high winds, thunder, lightning, etc. We don't usually get just a light rain. It really, really gets old fast. The riding is good at times, but at other times we either have overwhelming humidity or violent rain storms.

And.....a scoot ride?
Wow, what a generous and thoughtful invitation John! I will tell Mom. Guaranteed she'll say, "0h? Really?....Let's Go!" (With a Great Big Smile).
Too bad she's unable to. She did quite a bit of traveling in her healthy days and enjoyed every minute,...but I don't think she ever made it to your Beautiful part of town
Read this knowing that Your good wishes have brought us the warmth and cheer intended.
"Happy, Healthy New Year to You and Yours" & add to that, "Heaps of Cheer and Glorious Sunshine!!"

Again, back to your local Weather station, "Weird Winter Riding Weather"
