Greetings All,

I bought a PCX150 last week and took it out to a local lake in central Texas for the Labor Day weekend. Put 63 miles on it. Enjoying it immensely. Here's a photo of my "new toy" strapped to the back of my "old toy."

Nice rig! I bet you guys will have lots of fun traveling with your PCX.

Is that rack on the back that the PCX is on custom?

Also, welcome to the forums! :D

Hi maddiedog. Thanks for the welcome. You're right.....I see us getting out a lot more with the RV so we can put more miles on the scooter. It will be awesome for enjoying the local sights around the campsites. It is pretty amazing to think about the difference in the gas mileage!

The rack is not custom, though it did require some "adjustments" to accommodate the scooter. Due to the low ground clearance of the scooter and the angle from the ground to the rack, they had to cut the end of the rack and ramp from 90-degrees to 30-degree angles on the ends to provide clearance. Once that was done, it was relatively easy to guide the scooter up the ramp on to the rack. Here are links for the same rack and ramp I purchased but I paid considerably less than shown on this website.

I'm still thinking about getting a small utility trailer to carry the scooter, along with other outdoor/camping gear (canoe, propane grill, chairs, etc). Take care!

If you end up getting a utility trailer, I've put over 10000 miles on my Harbor Freight trailer with no issues whatsoever. I got it on sale + a coupon for under $300. Here's the one I have: http://www.harborfreight.com/automotive ... 94564.html

If you want more details on that, PM me. :D

Thanks for covering for me EddieC. Now I am up to three! Say....tell me about the cargo carrier on the back of your scoot.

EddieC's or mine?

Eddie has a topcase and a universal mounting plate. This is the mounting plate: http://www.compacc.com/p/Givi-Hardware- ... 10/1121007 and any Givi Monokey topcase will fit.

Mine is a custom, hacked-together rack from Thailand.

Maddiedog has mine right! I wound up getting it REALLY cheap on ebay for $90 (both top box and the carrier.)

Thanks guys. And TIL that it's called a "top case," not a cargo carrier as I mistakenly called it. Ha!
