Hi Oma! Welcome to the forums.

Silver's the coolest color for the PCX in my opinion. If I could have gotten a silver one in the USA, I would have. Good choice. ;)

lol, ok it might be grey.. i like. was going to get white one but price was round 1900 and the guy was not moving 1p down. but this silver/grey pxc i has some scruff which i want to fix. looking for body parts.

also any of you guys getting any squeaky noise from rear brake when its being used?. the mechanic said something to do with brake spring needs to be oiled regularly? is this true. i do not trust mechanics. i used do my own car repairs since i dont no much about bikes and dont have time to learn i have no choice but to believe his words. any insight on this would be lovely :)

thanks

Hi

The rear drum is actuated by a cable with one or two(can't remember exactly) external return springs on the actuation arm. Just drop a small bit of oil on them and see if the noise disappears.

he did apply the oil on it, and went away for 1 week and then came back ? hence i am think something dodgy.. or spring or cable that is attached to the brake need replacing ( according to him its all fine..) but the noise is really annoying.

thanks

Try fully unscrewing the adjuster nut and remove it. Push the threaded rod back out of the pivot and then push the pivot out

Give everything a good clean and grease the barrel shaped
pivot and reassemble and adjust the brakes

Howdy to you Oma and your grey(ish)-silver(ish) PCX! Hope you get your squeak-ee-ness sorted...or maybe get a good pair of earplugs :D (I use them). Cheers and rider safe!

My rear brake squeals when the weather is very wet.
