Rain riding

I was riding my Forza 300 in the rain yesterday and noticed that virtually none of the rain drops were moving on both sides of my Honda Tall windscreen. I was going around 100 kmph and not getting very wet.

I think the wind hits the headlights and whips around the side of the scooter. There seems to be a negative pressure area around my kidneys.

I want some of that Formula One Flo-vis paint they use. Or maybe I will buy a cheap bottle of ketchup and spill it on the front to see where it goes. The red colour might scare the girls at the gas station.

I could also tape bits of wool on and see where it flutters.

I need a little wind in my face to stop my glasses from fogging up.

I worked on formula 3 and formula Atlantic back in the 80s...we used to dribble some engine oil on the bodywork so we could track the airflow.

I'll try that next time I ride in the rain.
