Had a quote from Honda Chichester for £250 for a service!
Just two hours work as well
Needless to say I didn't take them up on the offer!
What kind of price should I be expecting?

Robbing barstewards.
I have not paid more than £116 for any service, my last one was at 10,000 miles.
Included in the cost was a courtesy bike for the day. (shiny brand new NC700X DCT)
This was at the main Honda dealer in Aberdeen.
I have heard of people in other areas paying around £60-£70ish

That's a crazy price - they must have made a mistake. I paid £110 for my 5k service. If they are your nearest dealer call them up and tell them they have their pricing wrong. If that doesn't work call Honda up and tell them.

Would that include a valve adjustment?. It's the only way it would make sense, and even if it did include it, it still is rather expensive.

I got my 600 miles/1000 kms service done for some 55€, without valve adjustment (dealer didn't deem it necessary), but will ask for it at the 5000 kms oil service. I expect them to charge 150-180€ for it.

Gonna try Honda in Crawley and see what price they quote me
Chichester has only been open a few weeks and maybe have inexperienced staff....
