Rollers?

Hi guys,

my 2013 PCX is in for service and its first MOT at the moment, it has done 7500 miles in total.

Workshop has stated that the Rollers need replacing, funny thing is they stated that this would need doing before they even looked at the bike?? I had literally just dropped it off round the bike of the workshop and when i told them the mileage and age , they were adamant that it was rollers. Now i get that the belt needs replacing, as it did start slipping and rattling a bit more at very very low speed, so i get that.

I thought the roller replacement interval was 15000 miles, which is what made me question it in the first place.

just to add, the workshop i have used for years and they have always been good to me, so am i just being a dick or am i being dicked on ... ?

I have never heard of changing out the rollers at 7500 miles. I didn't even change out our belt until 10,000 mile. My wife and I each have a 2013 PCX. I changed her rollers at 13,000 miles just because I wanted up upgrade them to 13 gram. The old ones were still fine. They do wear out, but I don't think they should be anywhere near worn at 7500 miles. I think I would be looking for another shop.
If you want to do some hands-on work, you could learn to change them yourself, but I understand that there are a lot of homes over there that do not have a place to work on the bike. Do you have a friend who might have a place you can work on the bike? There should be some How-To threads on this forum concerning changing both the belt and the rollers.
