Installing lights above headlight?

I think this has been covered before but I can't seem to find the thread.
How difficult would it be to install running lights and/or amber turn signals in the spaces above and toward the outsides of the headlight?
Is it worthwhile?

Hiya!

The thread you're looking for, I believe, is here: http://hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3100

Although it's actually for installing turn signals and not DRLs.

I am, however, going to be eventually installing DRLs in my 2013 hopefully fairly soon, and I will be using dem0nk1d's excellent tutorial thread, albeit with a few modifications. First, I don't intend to bake/split the headlight fixture. I just know I'll screw it up permanently, and I don't want to do that. Second, I am going to use LED bulbs, to get the DRL look without the projection of Halogens.

Once I get all my parts together, I'll probably try to take the bull by the horns and give it a whirl.

If you beat me to it, by all means, have a go at posting a thread. Please include pics!

Best of luck!

Mine is also a 2013, so the headlight assembly is different from the one in dem0nk1d's post. I'm kind of scared to tear into it without instructions.

The complete headlight assembly is pretty cheap at $120 USD. It even comes with harnesses for that price.

After telling my spouse (accountant) that I intended to spend that much on a seat in the next three or four weeks, I somehow don't think she's going to appreciate me having to spend that on a replacement headlight fixture, especially if I screw it up myself. Hence, the no split.

Nice to know there's replacement available so inexpensively, if I do manage to screw it up.

...plus shipping from Thailand runs it up to about US$170, unless you want to wait 2 months on surface shipping.
