Sorry if this is a repost but I think this video is fairly new - be sure to check out the 3:30 mark - the Good Samaritan lady's reaction is priceless.

I feel for him but have the feeling he was asking for it.

Did you notice the rider at the beginning was riding along with his left turn signal on for ages.

That is the reason why the PCX has a trapdoor over the ignition.

Yeah if you read the comments on the nonembedded video at YT ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfJsqBgQygk ) many of the comments suggest he was a thief since there were no keys in the ignition. I prefer to see the good in people and think the keys simply flew out when the bike flipped over and he was coincidentally on his way to work in a mine.

I didn't notice that - he even left in on while he changed lanes to the right Maybe he was distracted by the guy doing the wheelie coming from the other direction? Kudos to him though for going to check on the guy who crashed.
I loved how the lady in the purple tube top told the EMT "trainee" to leave the guy alone when she asked "can I check like his pulse?"

That is another reason I love the pcx...and other scooters...plenty of storage so you don't have to shove your tools down your pants leg. I am not sure what you would do with that tool he had but I prefer to think the best in people also, so I am going to believe that he borrowed the tool from a friend but had no way of transporting it on his bike.

Watching it on full screen on the YouTube confirmed what I thought I saw ... the second motorbike coming towards the camera was popping a wheelie. I am wondering if the lot of them were together. Kind of disgusting if they were, in that the others never came back. But if they were up to no good (which we don't know for sure), I guess it is not surprising.

I'm sorry Mel, but I couldn't refrain from laughing out loud Re-read it and you'll know what I mean (or maybe it's my odd sense of humor )
What's next with this guy, A ChainSaw? His jeans are baggy, there's room.

A decent tailor will always ensure there's room in the chosen trouser leg for your hardware.

Don't worry WN, as a long-lasting member of this forum I think I can speak on behalf of all the members and state that we unequivacally enjoy your odd sense of humor

I for one like to ride with plenty of room in my pants for my tools. Looks like that guy was trying to add more than there was room for. :-)

Aside from the odd contents of the guy's pants, the look on his face of total agony resonates with me. I know that feeling. They should have never let him stand. I don't know how he managed except perhaps with the help of adrenalin. That leg was obviously broken.
A lesson to take from this though, don't follow cars too closely.

Yeah I should probably add that my intent here was not to make fun of a fellow rider's injuries (although if he was a thief he arguably deserved it) but rather to just share what I thought was an utterly bizarre video - I hope it didn't come across as callous on my part. I broke a leg a few years ago so I was cringing when I was watching the guy try to stand on it.

Not callous at all Greg. Sometimes we have to see these things to remind us not to ride too close .... and to only have the proper tool in our pants.
