Can I put a honda forza 125 gastank onto my pcx?

Hello,

My gastank is stuk and I've to put a new one. So perhaps the gastank of the honda forza 125 also fits into my honda pcx 2015. Anyone an idea if this works?

I wouldn't think so. It's a different bike altogether. You might get a second hand one on eBay.

The only way to know for sure without trying it is to check the part number. I'd use cheapcycleparts.com to look it up, but the Forza 125 is not a US model, so they don't have it on their database. Anyway, if the part numbers are the same, it will work, if not, it won't.

Just curious how does a gas tank fail exactly?

Apparently its Dutch for broken.

https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/stuk

The Forza 125 tank only fits in a Forza 125.
Same for the 300.

@Homie well, its very simpel. There is someone who is very pissed off at me because I'm dating his ex and that person has made some serious damage on my bike. He made some holes into my gastank and my bodywork. The bodywork I can repair but not the gastank.
And yes stuk comes from dutch and it means broken ;) .
Thanks to everybody who replied and tried to help me :D . I'm going to contact the supplier and ask him if the fixing bolts are at the same place or not and if it would fit into my pcx.

Ah... Chief say "some of us have been there."

Well this will be our first gas tank replacement thread... I think. Hope we can get a 'how too' video or maybe couple images of the procedure.

I wanted to beat the crap out of that person but if I do so, its me that's going to prison and he is really not worth it. I've sent a message to www.bike-parts-honda.com and ask if they have the same fixing points as my pcx. If not, I've got to order the pcx gastank. I'm going to put ' a how to' tutorial when I get my tank ;)

Just out of interest how did he get holes in the tank. Drill?

Won't your insurance cover it?

Indeed,he did it with a drill. In the middle of the night. And when I came out to see, he ran away like a pussy. My insurrance covers everything, but since I've to put a new one on it, I would go for a bigger tank.

The only way of getting a bigger tank is to have an extra bit welded onto the existing one.
You could get the holes welded...
Careful though, welding petrol tanks is a hazardous job.

brought a drill to a potential gun fight in my town  we shall all watch your work and learn something different about how the fuel tank gets removed and really sorry this has happened to the precious.

Well, I've got an answer and he can't confirm that it will fitt. So I 'm going to ask a buddy of mine at the end of this month to weld a new gastank that fits in our precious. I'll keep you informed 8)

The gas tank is plastic and pretty easy to either plastic-weld or repair with an epoxy.

Be careful getting a different tank because you have to fit your petrol pump into it.

Good research GN2

This is also an affirmation to all of us for including our location with our profile ... even if it is just the country. It helps us when we respond. And in this case, just because a Dutch term is used, doesn't mean he/she is living in the Netherlands.
