Used Forks Question

Hi Everyone,

I have to change my front suspension forks and I need to go with a used one. How can I avoid buying the wrong fork and identify if the models are compatible with my scooter (PCX 2011 WW125EX2)?
I checked a few ads but the sellers seem to have very limited knowledge on the compatibility details.

I would appreciate any help.
Best regards,
Peter

I'm pretty sure they all have the same forks, will check later when I get home.

The part number is different, depending on the year. There do appear to be slight differences in design between the 2011, 2013, and 2015 model years; however, the fork tubes appear to be the same diameter and the lowers appear to be exactly the same shape between the 2011 and 2013 model years, with some diffences in the 2015, and if the changes are minor enough, they may be interchangeable. The upper tube needs to fit in the triple clamp, the axle needs to fit through the holes in the fork lowers, and the brake caliper needs to be able to mount properly without rubbing on the rotor. So long as all of this falls into place I see no reason why you could not do such a swap.

They're not all the same :(

You can find all the part numbers here: http://www.bike-parts-honda.com/honda/model/PCX.html

Perhaps ask which year bike they came from? I suspect they'll all fit but there'll be more chance if it's a similar year.

I'd also try and get as much as possible with the forks. Complete unit at best. Spindle as a minimum

The stanchions are the same all through the years.
Axle was changed with the esp model change from 2013 -on, and caliper with the all new LED model.
As youyou has suggested get as much with the fork legs as you can. Axle and spindles is a must - and look for a fork from non-LED version.
