For those of you doing your own maintenance, what tools do you have ?

What are the bare necessities ?

Approx how much $$ did/do you spend on tools ?

Start off with at least a set of metric tools...ratchet, sockets, open end/box end wrenches. If you plan on changing the belt, variator, etc yourself then you will need a 22m socket as well. An adjustable height rolling seat would help to, especially if it has a shelf on its base so that you can store some magnetic bolt and screw bowls, which will be needed in order to not lose them.
You will need a set of plastic body trim removal tools. You need these in order to remove the plastic panels without scratching them.
If you want to add any extra lighting you will need wire splices, wire cutters, some way of testing the circuit, and extra wire...at least red and black.
Consider getting these tools a little at a time so that you won't feel the pinch financially.

Add a pulley holding tool and a torque wrench.

Yes! And don't forget some shop towels or rags. Changing the oil can sometimes get a little messy.also a funnel.
