Haven't ridden since I sold my 1971 Honda 750 4cyl. in 1974. We began rv ing and decided the 150 pcx would be a perfect toad for our small 25 foot motor home. Now to buy one. I found a local seller of a 2013 with , allegedly, 1000 miles on it. What should I look for in order to confirm or contest this. I have an appointment to meet him and see the bike on Monday 7/18/16. How easy is it to turn back odometer or replace it entirely? What service should have been done?
Any input greatly appreciated. I am in Long Island NY and he is asking $2500.00. I can't see paying that for a 4 year old machine as the 17's are in the showrooms @ $3450 all their BS charges and our 8.625% sales tax...Humm. I love NY.

I think you are right that a PCX is the perfect carry-on for an RV. $2500 may be steep. Ask to see the service record that shows that the 600 mile service was done. If no record, then start your price offer around $1500. I can't imagine someone fiddling with the odo on a comparatively low value machine, but one never knows. I don't think it would be at all easy. You might want to check Craig's list to see if there are any others that you could use as bargaining chips.
I have a '13 with 10K miles. It is still a grand piece of machinery. Good luck.

I have a 2013 that I love. I bought it new in 2014, and right now it has only 5,000 miles on it. My wife's 2013, which we purchased in mid 2012 has twice those miles. I know of other riders who have 2013 versions and they have low miles on theirs, so it is quite possible that the 1,000 miles is a true reading. Both of our bikes have extensive mods and upgrades but I would think that I could only get $2,000 for either of ours, so $2500 is too much for it.
