The name "England" is derived from the Old English name Englaland, which means "land of the Angles". The Angles were one of the Germanic tribes that settled in Great Britain during the Early Middle Ages.

So the English are actually German. That'll open a can of worms.

Which is hilarious given they both had key roles leading the Brexit campaign in an attempt to stop immigrants coming here.

I think that's where the name Britannia came from. The roman name for the UK.

We are pretty much all descendant from immigrants. As is the USA
