In error I took off the assembly that contains 2 flat springs that hold up the seat on my 2016. (I was removing the seat and should have left it alone). Now I am not sure how the flat springs fit in the holder and since I don't want to break anything does anyone have a close up photo showing how it fits?
thanks
old guy

I think that Honda added springs in the 2015 model year

Uh oh...Perhaps this illustration will help. Perhaps it's easier to purchase the assembly? My scoot is a '15 I'm not familiar with the "flat springs" that you're referring to. I switched out my seat and don't recall seeing them. http://www.cheapcycleparts.com/oemparts ... b618e/seat
Not sure old guy where you're located. The parts link above is U S. based. Do us and yourself a favor by completing your profile. Below my post are easy directions to get that done. Thanks and Welcome to our forums
Ah...I see homie's here to help. Gotcha covered

Not sure why the exploded views for both years 15 & 16 are not more detailed. There might be a second flat spring under the one in the video but it would follow the contour most likely still giving you a clue about proper assembly. I took my seat off at the 4 taps like WN and haven't ventured into the area of the detent yet.

Your video and verbal description are very clear. Its late (British Columbia on the eastern edge of the Pacific time zone) or I would try assembling it tonight. I don't think I will have any trouble now.
Thanks for the help.
The reason I had the seat off was to attach velcro strips under a small portion of the lip of the seat which in turn attach to velcro I sewed on to an automotive type gel seat pad. I could have just sat on it but I decided to attach it instead. In my opinion the stock seat uncomfortable for long trips and this is a low cost cure. Just luck but a gel and mesh automotive seat pad ($20. at Canadian Tire) fits almost perfectly and other than adding about an inch to the seat height there seem to be no issues. I take it off for around town.
If anyone else takes long rides it is well worth it.

I have a gel seat pad on my 2013 and I used a ROK strap to hold it on. So far it is holding quite nicely.
