Going to buy a 2017 PCX, price out the door with dealer installed windshield is $3864. Good price or not? Quote includes all fees etc. Getting the white one, they are faster.

here in Canada you can buy a 2015 new PCX for 3454 canadian dollars =2620 USD dollars out the door with no government insurance
no windshield but there are better cheaper options
white is faster but the 2017 is no faster than the 2015
look around for deals on previous years model discount and the colour you want

What are the differences besides possible electronic key ignition?

Where are you, Hondamatic? In the US, I think that would be a very good price. It seems to be hard to get out for under 4K in my neck of the woods and that is with no extras.

Welcome hondamatic

Cool name. Do you/did you once own one? I look at them all the time on Craigslist. Especially dig the Teal color - chrome fenders. Or the Burgundy.
Ok, back to your ?
Agree with George, IF you are in the U.S. that would be a typical OTD price (give or take a $100).
But! We don't want to mislead you. SO please do as most have done, and add your location to your profile. Then you'll get accurate answers from us now And in the future (well...we'll do the very Best we can). How's that for a trade off?
Follow my simple directions below to get'er done
Oh....and I love the Fast White meself! Atta boy!

Sorry about the delay in a response WhiteNoise, I was changing some account settings and got locked out of the forum. All is good in the world now.
To answer your question, I am in the central US, Missouri to be exact. I finalized my purchase with the dealer the other day and will be picking up my new ride sometime next week...hopefully!
Also, my name....Yes I currently own a 2009 Honda Metro. Cool little ride that I will be sorry to see go. I might be able to talk my wife into letting me keep it since the riding season is coming to a close. If I talk hard enough over the winter she might let me keep it. She has no interest in riding so it might be tough to keep two scooters going.
I will update some more on my account once I see how this comes out, so possibly I might get locked out once again.
Have a good one!

Generally speaking if you can buy a bike model that is not " totally unwanted" paying MSRP price OTD is considered a pretty good deal ( tax, title, lic, doc fee, freight setup)

Yes White, I did get the price that they quoted to me. It helps that
1. I bought the Met from them and
2. I come from the same hometown as the owner, I am good friends with his family. Life in the Midwest may be dull to most but it does have it's perks!
I am going to get a freeby cap, not much but still a free by. I took my camera with me when we looked at it in the showroom but we got to talking with the salesman and I just forgot all about it. My wife really likes it color and overall shape, the pearltone white pushed it over the top for her. I'll post a picture when we pick it up, hopefully this week with the dealer installed windshield that was part of the deal.

I will see if I can upload, download, or whatever term is appropriate here of the newest addition to the garage. I have been busy and am working on a new pc with windows 10 and this is a whole new learning curve for me. I hope the pic is not too large.
My Met in the background is an 09 all stock with 3200 miles on the clock with absolutely no problems. I had added a trunk and windshield and I might keep it as my work horse for getting dog food, cases of water and such until I get used to the new member of the stable.
I haven't decided if I want to get a trunk for the PCX or not. Wifey says do what ever I want...it keeps me out of the bars!
Anyway, there it is. I hope to get some fall pictures with it later in the week or next...this week is full up already.

Not sure the electronic ignition is a good thing or not - more to go wrong, but how is the seat/fuel cover opened now that it's an electronic key?

I see a problem. The two 'beasts' will be fighting for front space in your corral. You say that you will keep the Metro for doing the runs for dog food, etc. ...? Well, I am betting the PCX will take that job away from the Metro in no time. Put a Givi tailbox on the PCX and it will be ready to compete for top billing.
Oh, and one more thing...everyone SAYS that white is faster, but that is only because they don't see the red ones as they fly by. :-)
(I have a red 2013, so I should know. :-)

Sell the grey and put a street bike, then you will find the perfect balance... sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't
