I just got my 2016 PCX last night...
Everything feels good except when I speed up where I can hear the rattling noise from engine.

After reaching around 50-60 km/h, the rattling seems to disappear and the entire scooter sounds very smoothe...

Is it normal for PCX, do you guys have the similar experience?

If I recall over my membership time I've seen a few low severity rattles diagnosed in here as the following, and perhaps others can recall more possibilities.

Deceleration on a PCX makes a lot of vibration, so much so you can't mount a camera to the body.

1. Check the license plate. I placed wool fiber spacers between the plate and the mount to insure certain rpm's didn't start it vibrating.

2. There is a close connection up front between the stock windscreen and the body panel, (at the nose) put a buffer between these two items and ride out eliminating the easy fixes first.

Are you sure it's coming from the engine? You say it's across the range of normal commuting speeds (upto 50-60kmh) - I'd take it back to the dealers as it should not be like that from new.

my 2016 pcx150 makes the same noise. There seems to be a rattle at certain speeds. Is yours similar, it sounds like its a rod knock

It normal in the midrange..... it's a single cylinder, therefore there's always going to be some noise vibration and harshness (NVH).

Sir, the noise is not about front screen or back plate, sounds like from water tank or engine compartment... after all, I only rided for 8km...

I think you will find such noises to be normal for this animal..

Absolutely, Mike, it is the knocking sound as you described, which is more precise than rattling... it happens when I accelerate from 30-60km/h.
Just hope it will go away after break in, apart from this, PCX is great.
