Same here. I'm 176 cm so slightly shorter than you. I too get to flat foot at lights and ride with my knees bent also. On my commutes I do a lot of cornering so I need to have a bit more weight on the front wheel to get the bike where I want her to go. Even when I stretch my legs, the hump doesn't bother me at all.Urbanian wrote:Now I’m getting the picture! You get to ride feet forward, I get to flat foot at the stop lights. Perhaps the average PCX rider in Thailand is closer to your height and has to lean his bike at the stops. I can’t ride feet forward because my legs are too long.
I always wondered why so many complained about the seat hump. It never bothered me. I figured my knees worked well enough to allow me to sit forward of the hump. If I tried to ride feet forward, the hump would HAVE to go! But then I’d have to ride stiff armed too. No thanks; I’ll ride with my knees bent, arms relaxed, and flat foot at the stops. I’m 5’ 10.5”
I'm also 5'10". I can just barely flat-foot the PCX. I can actually flat-foot my Silverwing easier than the PCX because of how high the seat is on the PCX.Urbanian wrote:Now I’m getting the picture! I must have a shorter torso and longer legs than you...maddiedog wrote: I'm also 5'10".
Does that mean your square?maddiedog wrote:That's possible. My wife's 5'6", but her legs are 2" longer than mine. I'm a 30x30 for pants.
Any pictures?gn2 wrote:My wife's legs are about the same length as mine.
I'm five feet eleven, she is five feet three.
