I'm always looking for a deal and usually it's vintage japanese bikes. I thought I might buy a scooter and see if I could get the wife interested. I saw a craigslist post on a white 11 PCX125 that had some damage to the right side. 240 miles. I made a deal and brought it home. I loved it immediately. Wife would ride pillion but no interest otherwise. I had gotten a pretty good deal and replaced the whole right side body work for pretty reasonable I thought . Just for fun I put it on craigslist and came real close to doubling my money. But I liked the little 125 so well I was on the hunt for something bigger. I found a used 13 150 in red with 700 miles in perfect condition with a Givi box and bought it. I'm in love with it. It's a blast and I think it will be my commuter to work for the summer. keeps the miles off the old bikes, is reliable, great mpg and is a blast to ride. One thing I am looking for now is a cover. I put a motorcycle cover over it but with that Givi on the back it just doesn't work. Is there one made to cover it WITH a box? Thanks in advance!

I understand that posting a link to the service manual for the 2013 PCX150 could one in hot water over copyrights but if I got a PM.....

I can't say how well this cover works in foul weather because I keep my PCX covered on the carport with it, so it is never in the weather. I can say that it fits well with her tall windshield and tailbox though. If I used it out in the open I would probably loop a bunjii cord around the middle. It has a clip on one end to clip through the tire, but on the other end I used a clothes pin. It isn't heavy, and comes with its own carry bag.

Hey, a fellow Chicagoan with a PCX? Nice!
Would you mind PM-ing the service manual too please? Thanks!
(I didn't see a link to PM you, probably because I'm brand new here)

Done... let me know if you have any problems downloading the PDF. Hey I would like to know just how fast those 2013's are. You should get with me and let me ride that down my favorite stretch of back road will you struggle to keep up on my '15'

Haha thanks for that! Added location to profile.
Nice scooter parking spots you've got. We don't have them in the north 'burbs.

Well that's too bad you're outside my Scooting range Jeremy. Sounds like you have some nice biker gatherings up north as well. I would have to put the precious on the expressway to get up for a visit... seems unlikely. Rats! I was looking forward to riding a 2013 for once. I can ride everyday for weeks and not see another PCX in my area, I thought for sure that one in Naperville was yours.

Dude, we're about 1.3 hours apart, without expressways. Some of the vintage scooter riders go cross-country on 50+ year old two-smokes. I'm actually 20 miles north of Chicago, so its even further. I'll ride down there one day, and you'll see that I'm worth the effort to hang out with, hehehe.

Did you read about the Canadian couple who rode across Canada on their 50cc Yamaha C50? The guy said: "We don't have to worry about hitting moose; we can always see them in time, since we're only going 30."

I can be up there in 40 minutes on the Buell

I just imagine the little bike to wear me down on a 3 hour tour. Yep, I got 15 years on you youngster. The scoot has its place for me as a run-a-bout only.
