Scooter Apron/skirt

I'm looking at purchasing some sort of scooter apron or skirt. At this time, I cannot afford the premium Tucano Urbano Termoscud ($128+, and that doesn't include shipping). I found one that is priced right ($39.95), and ships from the U.S. from PeakScooter. Was wondering if anyone is familiar with this brand/company.

Well, I didn't really like the thought of having some sort of skirt around my waste that may fly up at any given moment when I reach speed.....So, I went ahead and bought a pair of cheap chaps (Cabela's Boar Hideā„¢ 1,000-Denier Chaps) through Cabela's. They will work just fine for what I need, namely protection from the cold and rain on my legs. For $14.99, I couldn't go wrong. In addition, I can use them when I go out in the bush to hike, etc. ;)

Nice, if they are snake bite proof I need them. We only get 3 species of snake in our island and they are all poisonous :(

Price is right, worth a try. Stay warm ;) it's getting cold-er. You know what? The Harley guys I knew never wore chaps. Jeans, belts, t-shirts, boots or sneakers, a watch, dark sunglasses, & may..be a do-rag. Some Smoke while riding. Guess chaps are for "other riders" where I come from. :)

Don't think this pair is snake proof. They did have a few pairs that were, just a bit higher priced though.

I just picked them up to protect my knees a bit more from the cold, and to keep my work pants from getting really wet during rain. I think I would get more razzing from my motorcycle riding co-workers if I rode to work with a "skirt" on, compared to wearing chaps. :)

But Geordies aren't from Northumberland. What next, Cumberland?

As a Geordie all this cross dressing is a mystery to me. I'll regard Northumberland as "suspect" too from now on. Must be because it touches Scotland. Maybe they were "curious"?

Historically, Newcastle was the county town of Northumberland.
Thet's the proper counties, not the modern gerrymandered ones.

We split out to Tyne and Wear to distance ourselves from the transvestites

If you go around Newcastle of an evening you'll see that the lasses don't even wear skirts

F@nny pelmets replaced them years ago

What does a Geordie lass use for protection when she's having sex...?

A bus shelter.

I'm using this:

http://www.decathlon.es/sobrepantalon-l ... 29813.html

And works great. I guess there is no Decathlon in the US but I'm sure you'd find similar stuff. Takes like two minutes to wear it and one to get rid of it. I've ridden under heavy rain and stayed dry, and surprisingly warm. It doesn't let wind through but it still allows transpiration out. It also has some reflective stuff to improve visibility at night. Couldn't be happier with them.
